A cue is like an extension to your arm for many players. Some people keep their's for years while others replace them every 6 months. How long have you owned your current cue?

LATEST MATCH REPORTS...

LONDON A 24 V 20 SUSSEX A

Inter CountyDue to the sudden closure of Riley's Brighton we found ourselves unexpectedly playing at home again this month, which was no doubt to our advantage. This match actually panned out in very similar fashion to our first home match of the season against Kent.

London took an 8 v 3 lead, the highlight a length of the table treble on the black from Andy Breen, making a welcome return to the team after a year out. We built on that start, winning the 2nd set 6 v 5 for a 14 v 8 half time lead, and the 3rd set 7 v 4 to put us 21 v 12 up.

When Dave Rawlinson won the opening frame of the final set a big home win looked likely, but perhaps a little over eagerness cost us as Sussex took the next 8 frames before Jack Pople secured the win playing patient, steady match pool. Not quite the last gasp win we needed against Kent but still a little too close for comfort!

An important 24 v 20 win and our team is improving with every match and is starting to have a fairly settled look about it. We have everything to play for in the 2nd half of the season.

Man of the match goes to Tony Gear, winning 3 out of 4, including a couple of nice clearances.

Stats:

Dave Rawlinson 3/4
Jordan O'Connor 1/4
Alex Lawrence 3/4
Tony Gear 3/4
Rupert Ward 1/4
Joe Prince 1/4
Glen Tingley 0/2
Jack Pople 4/4
Andy Breen 2/4
Robbie Robb 2/4
Jerry Tickell 3/4
Nigel Smith 1/2
