LONDON LADIES HOME TO SUSSEX 14.09.2014

This was a very important match for us. If we could beat Sussex we would go above them in the tables and be in third place below Kent and Hampshire. The last time we played Sussex we lost 24 - 20, and considering they were a player short there was an even better chance for us to get the win.

MATCH PLAY
The 1st leg we stormed ahead 8-3 after having to rearrange the team to take into consideration Sussex being a player short.
What a great start just what we needed, but Sussex were playing really well and were a little unlucky not to pull back a few more frames.
The 2nd leg Sussex played better than we did and pulled it back to 13-9. We were still ahead but had to be careful not to let them get ahead of us.
The 3rd leg was a disaster for us and Sussex went ahead 16-17.
There was not much team support going on and it was no surprise to me that we found ourselves behind as this is not the first time this has happened to us.
The 4th leg was as bad as the 3rd and we lost 20-24.
A terrible result for us considering the great start.
If the team does not pick themselves up and start to support their team mates and actually come together as a team and improve the team moral we will find ourselves second from last in the tables and rightly so.
We have a good team and could play so much better.
PLAYER OF MATCH
Well done to Corinne and Sarah you both well deserved player of the match.
