LATEST MATCH REPORTS...
Kent Ladies v London Ladies 14/03/2009
Firstly we would like to congratulate the Mens A and B for winning the county finals at Yarmouth and the Youth for getting to the final. Well done to all from the Ladies team.
Well where do I start? We knew we were up for a hard match as Kent were on the warpath after getting knocked out of the National Finals at Yarmouth. The team meeting went really well and everyone was up for a good match.
Sadly we got off to a bad start loing the first 2 legs and only winning 4 games, but we knuckled down and won the next leg 7-4. Although our final result was 14 / 30 loss, it never reflected the way the players played I can honestly say not one player played badly and a lot of the games could have gone either way.
Lindie Snyman had 4 great games but sadly only won 1, Sarah King played really well and won 2 games, and our new players played with grit. Kirsty Edwards showed no nerves and played some great pool and Avril Mallon shone too. Our player of the Month had to be Keely Clarke (pictured) as she played with determination and no fear, 8 balling the Kent Captain Jools Fane.
I hope we play as well for the rest of the season as we did today and get the results that we deserve.
