A cue is like an extension to your arm for many players. Some people keep their's for years while others replace them every 6 months. How long have you owned your current cue?

LATEST MATCH REPORTS...

London Ladies are back in business

Inter CountyOur day began with Captain, Gill Buckingham's team talk where she praised the team spirit we had at the Kent game last month and urged the team to keep that going and concentrate on the task at hand. The team were in no mood to disappoint.

The match was close throughout the first set, however once we got our noses in front at 14-11, we went and won a straight 5 frames to leave the winning post in sight at 19-11. Although it seemed to be just a matter of time before we picked up the frames we needed, Sussex to their credit made a fight of it, but I had the rare satisfaction of sinking the winning black (rare for me not the team!) as we ran out winners by 28 frames to 16.

Player of the Match (awarded by Gill) was Linda Redwood who played exceptionally well to win 4/4 and showed a good level of concentration throughout. It was a great team effort and even those who didn't get the wins they expected played very well. The individual highlights were Corrine Grattan also winning 4/4 and Sarah Long, Sue Studman, Gill Buckingham and Sarah King each getting 3/4. A mention too for super sub Keely Clarke with 2/2, hopefully she has done enough to get her name on the team sheet for the start of the next match.

Hampshire visit next on 17 May. I think we have given them something to think about.
