LONDON SENIORS AWAY TO KENT
09.08.15 Kent (away)
Kent Seniors 12 London Seniors 8
London suffered a second defeat of the season and this defeat could prove costly in the race to get to Yarmouth. In truth we were well beaten with many of our players not at our best and but for two reasonable middle sets the defeat could have been harsher.
We lost the first set 4-1 with only Pete Thomas registering a win. The second and third sets provided some hope with two wins for Glen Tingley and a win each for Jerry Tickell and Martin Storey, as Pete remained resolute and refused to be beaten all afternoon, meaning London fought back to trail by one frame at 8-7 down.
In the last set the London team all capitulate bar Pete and we ended up on the wrong side of a 12-8 mauling.
Paul Gafa’ 0/4
Glen Tingley 2/4
Pete Thomas 4/4
Martin Storey 1/4
Jerry Tickell 1/4
