The Doctor to Jerry T after being handed an Interleague team shirt with “Doc” rather than “The Doctor” written on the back: “Do I look like one of the seven f**king dwarves?”

A cue is like an extension to your arm for many players. Some people keep their's for years while others replace them every 6 months. How long have you owned your current cue?

LATEST MATCH REPORTS...

London Ladies v Surrey Ladies

Inter CountyThe ladies team has certainly had a shake up recently, what with the unfortunate loss of Sue Studman for what appears to be the remainder of the season, all the ladies are sending our love your way Sue.

As such we had to reshuffle our pack and instate a Captain. I offered to step up to the role for the remainder of the season and then take it from there. I have never captained a county team before so this is a big learning curve for me, including writing match reports. I am abundantly aware that a Ladies match report hasn’t been posted since the Kent match, so here it goes…

That makes it 3 on the bounce…

The ladies have come together to form a phenomenal force not to be messed with, alongside an electric atmosphere that got the whole club bouncing. Taking the first set by storm with an impressive 9-2 start, I sensed this was going to be a captain’s selection headache having two subs on the bench ready and raring to go. But what a headache to have!

We maintained our momentum into the second set, only dropping 4 frames going into the second half 16/6 up with a great performance throughout the team. With two reserves itching to play we swapped Kirsty for Carol and Lucy for Angela for the second half of the match.

By the end of the third set we had already won the match with the score standing at 23/10, all the girls were buzzing and our final score stood at 29/15. It’s a shame we didn’t get into the 30s but what a fantastic result this was for us.

Later in the day it was brought to my attention that Hampshire had lost 29/15 to Sussex, which means the lovely London Ladies have been boosted up to that all important second spot. What a fantastic team we have here and let’s hope we can take this form into our next match against Kent and show that London have arrived.

Well done Ladies.
