A cue is like an extension to your arm for many players. Some people keep their's for years while others replace them every 6 months. How long have you owned your current cue?

LONDON A 23 V 21 KENT A

Inter CountyLondon put in a much improved performance against a decent Kent team who'd won their opening fixture. A really good first set saw us take an 8 v 3 lead. We shared the next 2 sets, 5 v 6 and 6 v 5 to keep our 5 frame lead intact and when Joe Prince put us 20 v 14 up at the start of the last set a comfortable home win looked likely. However Kent came back at us really strongly, rattling off 6 frames in a row to level at 20 v 20. Jack Pople and Jordan O'Connor then stepped up to win 2 massive frames for London. Willie Anderson kept Kent in the match after Glen Tingley missed a tricky black down the rail and Ben Savage looked set to break and clear for the draw only to snooker himself on the black. An in-off then gave Jerry Tickell the opportunity to pot the yellows with 2 shots before sinking the black for the win. Phew!

Man of the match was Jordan O'Connor with a really impressive 4 out of 4, but this was a good all round team performance with everyone contributing. Team spirit and support was excellent and we'll now be looking to improve again, next month away to Hampshire.

Joe Prince 4/4
