A cue is like an extension to your arm for many players. Some people keep their's for years while others replace them every 6 months. How long have you owned your current cue?

Inter CountyThere is only one question that is asked when we play Kent, how many frames can we take from them. Our aim is to go one better than the last time we played them.
Unfortunately this time we only managed 13, but read on to find out why this was a good result for us in the end.

MATCH PLAY

It is always difficult to win frames against Kent but we try our hardest and in the first leg we only managed to get 2 frames making it 9 - 2 to Kent.

The second leg was a repeat of the first, another 2 frames to us making it 18-4 to Kent. I could not even say that we were playing bad, it just was not happening for us.

The third leg we managed to up our game taking 5 frames which made it 24 -9. It was looking a lot more respectable and the players seemed to be feeling better about their games. There was a rumor from the Kent side that we would not get more than 12 frames from them. So a little team talk was had to spur us on to make sure we did.

The final leg we managed to get 4 frames making the score 31 - 13.

Considering the bad start we had I was very pleased with the final score line. Well done to all the ladies for their great effort in turning the game around for us. We may not have beaten our best score against Kent of 15 but we got a lot closer than we thought we might.

Well done to Kerry and myself, 3 out of 4 is a great score.

Well done Kirsty for getting 2 and nearly making it a 3.

Have to mention Donna as you are our least experienced player and to get 1 frame
against the likes of Kent is fantastic for you.

I would like to welcome Kate Hillman to the team, who stepped in as an emergency player so that we were not a player short.
Not the easiest of first matches for you and although you did not manage to win a frame you played some good pool and we look forward to seeing you settle into the team and show us your potential.

All in all a good friendly match as always with Kent and we look forward to playing them next season and taking more frames away from them.
