A cue is like an extension to your arm for many players. Some people keep their's for years while others replace them every 6 months. How long have you owned your current cue?

13.07.14 LADIES HOME TO BERKSHIRE

Inter CountyThe last time we played Berkshire we won 28-16 which was a great result and my expectations were high. Having said that it will never be an easy game against them as they have some very good new player in their squad and a few good older players too.

MATCH PLAY

We stormed ahead in the first leg winning 9-2, what a great start, just what we needed to boost the team moral.

Then we took our foot off the pedal and disaster struck. This is not the first time this has happened to us, and we only managed to win 3 frames making it 12-10 to us. Fair play to Berkshire they took advantage of our complacency and showed us how to make a come back.

The 3rd leg was tight as we managed to win 6 frames to make it 18-15, a good recovery by us, but we must keep it up and not let them back in the game.

The final leg was nip and tuck as both teams knuckled down to try and get the win.
It was such a tight leg that it came down to the last frame.
we needed it to win the game and they needed it to draw.

Last player was myself and I had to draw on all my experience and dig in deep as I had no chance of a finish in sight. Luckily they left themselves a tricky cut on the black which they missed and left sitting on the bottom cushion. I had a long pot which I made and got a great position on my last ball to give me the angle to pot and come off 3 cushions to land perfect alongside the black for an easy pot to win the game.

Thanks ladies please don't do that to me again, I must have aged 10 years. Just win your games and give me an easy time.

Well done to Berkshire for a hard fought match.
