Sussex Juniors v London Juniors 13/04/14

Inter CountyOn Sunday 13th April, London Juniors faced last year's Regional Champions, Sussex, in Brighton. This was a very important match as a win would mean we would be top of the table.

The team was Tony Griffin, Mehmet Tango, Jasper Bacon, Chris Panayiotou, Chris Wormsley, Shane O'Reilly, Kieran Osborne, Billy Levingbird, Sam Baker, Connor Hewson and Ethan Cook.

The battle was hard and difficult, losing the first set 6-5, but winning the second 7-4 to reach halfway 12-10 up.

Shaun Wormsley was subbed on for Ethan Cook for the third set, which Sussex won 6-5.

In the 4th set, Alan Bushell replaced Kieran Osborne.

It came down to the last frame, with London 22-21 up, and Billy Levingbird won to secure the victory. The team was ecstatic. After the match had finished, and everyone's hand had been shaken, everyone on the team was so pleased, and left with big smiles on their faces.

Special mentions to Chris Wormsley for 4/4, and Sean Halligan awarded Man of the Match to Billy Levingbird for holding it together in the last frame, along with the entire team.
