A cue is like an extension to your arm for many players. Some people keep their's for years while others replace them every 6 months. How long have you owned your current cue?

LATEST MATCH REPORTS...

London Ladies 23- 21 Berkshire Ladies

Inter CountyFirstly I would like to congratulate everybody on our first win of the season. After loosing the first set 6-5, we confidently picked up frames and were leading 12-10 after the second set. With nearly every body winning at least 2/2 we managed to maintain our lead throughout the rest of the match. There we some great individual performances; well done to Avril Mallon, Sue Studman and myself wining 3/4, but a special congratulations to Carol McKenzie and our player of the match who had a great day wining 4/4. Early in the 4th set we managed to get a comfortable lead of 22-16 needing only one frame to win, only to then loose the next five frames bringing the score to 22-21. Playing the last frame personally, I must admit I felt the pressure and would like to thank you all for your great support, There was a fantasic buzz and atmosphere, and it was clear how much we all wanted to win. If we can go into our next match, which we are at home to Surrey, with the same atmosphere and team spirit, we will win.
Lastly i would like to thank Lindie Synman for all of her efforts to London County pool over the last few years, and wish Lindie, Chris and the bump the best of luck, and we hope to see her in the new year.

PLEASE READ ON...
I’m sure you’ll all agree that winning on Sunday was far better than loosing, and this is something that we want to be doing month in month out. Obviously i realise that due to other commientments not every body can commit to this, but if we want to keep winning then we must get better, and by playing just one Sunday a month we are not going to improve. We have fantasic ability within the team, and with more practice we have every chance of winning our region, regardless of Kent being in it. I would also like to raise the profile of Ladies pool in general within the county. Nigel at spots&stripes pool club in Waterloo has made us some fantastic offers for us all to practise. Personally I will beat spots&stripes Mondays, Wednesday and Friday for the next coming weeks, so if anybody would like to come down to practise please feel free. There is also an opportunity, with enough interest to hold a ladies single league, dates and prize money are all to be confirmed, so if you are interested please get in contact, as i need your input! Aswel as this there will be a 3man team event starting at the end of June which we could put a team or two into which I think would be fantastic practise, and if there is enough interst I would be happy to run a ladies team from this venue in Waterloo league next season, which starts around September time. Once again if you are interested please contact me, and if you know any other ladies that would also be interested please tell them to contact me. I believe with everybodies help we can raise the profile of Ladies pool with in the county once more and return to our former winning ways. Please feel free to contact me on 07745-541-461 or email me at keelyclarke@hotmail.co.uk
