Junior Team Report: London 23-21 Sussex
What a difference a month makes! An altogether much improved performance from the Juniors culminating (my word of the day!) in a 23-21 win. A good result as we were forced to play with just 10 players.
Team spirit was better too – but can still improve as can concentration as we were 18-12 up at one point but let Sussex back into the match in the later stages with a few silly mistakes. It was great however to see James Moorhouse put the disappointment of his earlier frames behind him and win the match winning frame.
Congratulations to Daniel ‘Dave’ Davis and Jack Lawrence on getting 4/4 frames.
Next month’s match is away to Kent on 10 April. I'll be looking to see as many players as possible turning up to the team practice the day before which will be from 12 to 2 on the day before. It’s also your opportunity to sort out a lift to Chatham if you need one. If we don’t take advantage of this kind offer of free tables and coaching we will lose it. Everyone can benefit from it so let’s make sure we do!!!
