A cue is like an extension to your arm for many players. Some people keep their's for years while others replace them every 6 months. How long have you owned your current cue?

London C vs Sussex C. Won 34-10

Inter CountyKully was unable to attend due to a reunion that was arranged before the fixtures were announced so I was stand in Captain for the day.

A quick look at the form had me puzzled. Sussex had lost to Hampshire and won against Berkshire. Which one would turn up?

I was expecting to have to make some difficult decisions about who to put in the starting 11 but we had 3 B Team players so there was no choice to make.

A couple of frames went against us at the begining and we found ourselves 2-1 down but the rest of the first session went our way to make it 9-2.

Session 2 saw a continuation of our good form and I decided not to make any changes at the half way stage. You could say that it was unfair on the reserves but I have seen too many occasions when changes have resulted in a bad 3rd session. We ended the second session 17-5 up.

We took the 3rd session 10-1 so it looked like my plan had worked. All four reserves on for the final session. Only one of them lost and that was to either an amazing shot or an outrageous fluke.

I felt that there was a good team spirit and good support all round.

Ben McIntosh 4/4
Ross Dawkes 4/4
Rob Spellar 4/4
Adam Everitt 3/3
Ryan Francis 3/4
Peter Panyiotou 3/4
Carl Spellar 3/4
Barry Barham 3/4
Shane O'Reilly 2/3
Steve Burke 1/3
George Covington 1/3
Joe Slaughter 1/1
Dean Rider 1/1
Adam Hewson 1/1
Jonathan Tindall 0/1

Special thanks to Shane for voluneering to give up his place for a reserve. Team Player.

I'm afraid you've got me again for the Surrey match. Another arrangement that Kully had made before he knew the match dates.

Surrey appear to be revitalised so we can expect a much more dificult time than we had at the begining of the season. We will need to stay focused and continue to support each other.
