Sex at age 90 is like trying to shoot pool with a rope - George Burns

A cue is like an extension to your arm for many players. Some people keep their's for years while others replace them every 6 months. How long have you owned your current cue?

LATEST MATCH REPORTS...

London C Vs Berkshire C

Inter CountyLondon C 14 Berkshire C 30

Its taken a while to decide what to write in this report of our match against Berkshire, with so many players under performing, regular county players, its difficult to describe as a captain and friend of whats happening, what im not going to do is condem any of my players in an open forum, if we have issues to sort out then we will keep them within our C team and sort them out accordinly, thats why player stats will not be put on this report,

after the sussex game where everyone seemed to be together, except a little few, again we tried working on morale and again it was the same little few who where quiet, again not cheering there fellow team mates and generally very quiet, i appreciate that this is a new team but we have played together 3 times now so its not as if we dont know each other, wether your team mate wins or loses you need to get behind him everytime, i also appreciate that from one game to another we dont know who is playing in the starting 11, various reasons over throw team picking like people not attending and then we have to give mikeys B team players, its been a little topsy turvey with team picking but thats part of being in a 42 man squad, you have to remember, just because your in the squad doesnt mean your in the team, but saying that, ive tried to make sure everyone of you has played at least 7 or 8 frames of pool out of a possible 12.

we started well with george and danny, but after that crash, bang, boom, and in the space of 14 frames, only tony mcdowell won his frame and i potted a black and went in off....thats where we threw the match away, it wasnt until the third set that we woke up and started to play some of the pool you guys can play, that third and fourth set we played very well, we got beat 30-14 yet we won the last set.........give berkshire there do, they took there chances were we didnt but where they a 30-14 that good...i think not.

Man of the match was easy, tony mcdowell, well played tony, yourself, danny lott and peter pan, all man of the match in the 3 matches weve played have all done great, youve came into the team, knuckled down and staked your place as regular C team players, i also think george hammond deserves a mention too as he seems the right partner with danny as openers, its a difficult situation i think where you come into a team and automatically have to open for that new team, nice one george,
and i think we must all congratulate declan kelly who was took to the B team 5 mins before we started and won 4/4 for them, well done dec.

if you have looked on the GLCPA website at the squad listing for hampshire you will notice 2 new names on there, michael kennedy and adam everitt, as 2 players from the original listing never has come, we have replaced them with michael and adam, also back is dave haste and hopefully will gayler, if the B team have a full team and we dont have to give any away then we have great additions to call on.

finally, guys, of the 16 players we use, i know everyone pretty well apart from sean and peter, i know you as a person, a friend, and most importantly how you all can play pool, i could sit here for ages going on about this and that but what i want you to do is this, you are under no pressure now, none of you, go out and enjoy your sundays with the county team, you playing like "you have" to be there, not like "you want" to be there, you need to relax, play your games and enjoy it, ok, if you lose you lose but if you enjoy it you will relax and play better, play like i know you all can play.....last match one of our players told me there not confident in there game, this is someone who has played county for a while, also a very good friend, but now its about relaxing,

see ya at hampshire.
