A cue is like an extension to your arm for many players. Some people keep their's for years while others replace them every 6 months. How long have you owned your current cue?

Sussex C Vs London C at Brighton

Inter CountySussex C 17 ---- London C 27

Sunday 24th March, London C travelled down to the seaside at brighton, but it wasnt about riding rollercoasters, merry go rounds, or eating fish and chips, we was down there to do the business on the Sussex C team which over the past few years has been the whipping boys of the division, a task which after the sad loss against surrey C last month was something we needed badly, and in what style we did the job, a massive 27 - 17 beating of them which has given us our 1st important win and has taken us of the bottom of the division.

As usual, the unexpected happened, guys not going because of work, people sick and even british rail this time played its part, as some of our team where delayed for an hour on a train stuck in london, but eventually all that where attending got there and by the time we started the match it was gone 2 oclock, again we had to give 3 to the B team, will, davie and baz, which had me running around like a headless chicken picking a team, once the team was picked we had our meeting, the meeting was all about team bonding, with so many players from allover london one thing i noticed at the surrey game was people not talking to each other, people looked lost, so we focused on trying to get the team interacting better with each other which again, help us considerably yesterday, we had a bit of spare time before we started the match so some of the guys played cards, some played 9 ball but what i was so pleased to see was interteam bonding, were a team now, not individual players, we played as a team and the spirit was there.......

when we eventually got started, after the 1st 4 frames we was 3-1 down, again a new partnership to open with, danny lott and lee bushell, but i wasnt down heartened because in sussex C 1st game of the season they was 5-1 up against kent C and eventually kent C gave them a right hiding, and with tony Mcdowell breaking and dishing, peter "man of the match" pan winning his first of 4 frame wins, we won the set 6-5, so from being 3-1 down and winning the set 6-5 shows our team now has the heart and courage it needs to be a top team in this division, the second set got even better, 8-3 we won that, giving us a lead at the halfway point of 14-8, set 3 we won 6-5 and going into the final set we was 20-13 up, set 4 we was at stage where when peter pan knocked in his 4th black of the day it put us on 22 frame wins, its ironic that the next person to play was me, the black went in the middle and London C got its 1st win, we carried on to win another 4 frames winning the set 7-4 and a final score of 27-17.....guys, congratulations, yesterday you cheered each other and played as a team, well done.

im so proud of you guys, that was the london C team which i saw yesterday which i know can do well this year, you bonded very well, made loads of noise, even at one point even the B team where cheering the same chants, it was a great team performance, some outstanding individual performances, but on the whole our team is nearly there.....we have my good friend Kev Rackhams Kent C coming next, lets send him back to kent with his tail between his legs after giving his side a good hiding, we certinly have the team to do that now boys.

job well done London C and im so proud of you, see you at canavans on april 21st.

Yep, well done boys. I can only apologise for my own start, although I think I'm due some luck at some point!
