A cue is like an extension to your arm for many players. Some people keep their's for years while others replace them every 6 months. How long have you owned your current cue?

London C vs Surrey

Inter CountyLondon C 15 - Surrey C 29

2013, a completely new start for the London C team, not only does it have a new captain and vice captain, but 11 new players to the existing 6 we kept from last season, plus imports from other county teams, makes us have a very large team now, and our 1st match was against reigning C team regional winners, Surrey C, a very tough start indeed......

I know that expectations are high about our team, we have a team that is full of quality players, it is, i have a list here of everyone expected to play C team pool this season, and when i look at the names on the list im, wow, look at these guys, the existing players i know very well, most of the new guys i know from interleague, and im so proud as a captain to have this many quality players to choose from, im sure we will rectify things when we go to Sussex, our next match.

So what happened against surrey, i think it was a combination of a few things, movements between teams, players not attending, missed blacks and players learning at this level you have to take your chances when you get them, i think Surrey are a good team, but not as good as the score suggests, i think a few of our guys had off days, and we had to give 3 of our players to the Bs dont forget, you will get another shot at them, lets forget this and start a fresh at sussex, our season starts there, one of the positives though about the game is everyone now basically has some kind of county experience, you learn quick at this level, and as we do have a new big squad so to speak maybe this was a blessing in disguise..........

team stats are as follows....

danny lott 3/4
paul dawson 2/4
declan kelly 2/4
tony mcdowell 2/4
george hammond 1/4
michael bonney 1/4
darren porter 1/4
akar necarti 1/4
richard chapman 1/4
lee bushell 1/4
will turpin 0/2
shaun nash 0/2

baz folkard, will gayler, and david haste all played in B team and guys, from what i saw and from what i heard you did yourselves great credit, well done fellas, when you can do that in the B team its a great advertisement for our C team and again, well done guys.....peter didnt play but will start again sussex as will danish who was swanning it off on an orlando golf course....

guys to sum it up really, we need to put Surrey behind us, start a fresh at sussex and do what i know the guys can do best, the new guys learnt, i think everyone learnt something, and lets put it all to good use when we away on 24th march,

danny lott, by far on the day man of the match, everytime i see him he was smiling, and the only way surrey stopped him getting 4/4 was by there player breaking and dishing him, congratulations danny, 2013 first MOTM, good starters from tony and declan, couple from myself, and really i just think the rest of the team had bad days, they was slow out the traps so to speak, but now awake im sure you will get down to business,

see you all on 24th march where im sure we will take it out at sussex,

Paul
