A cue is like an extension to your arm for many players. Some people keep their's for years while others replace them every 6 months. How long have you owned your current cue?

Pickwick lose out in their battle to stay up.

This week in the South London & Kent Pool Alliance saw some crucial matches deciding promotion and relegation.

Elite League.

Pickwick were aware that nothing less than a two point haul would save them from certain relegation.

Although Eltham Terrace Club A were already down they made life very difficult.

Paul Shrimpton broke and dished in frame 6 on his way to a hat trick along with Dan Heinink who followed suit as Eltham Terrace condemned the Pickwick to the final relegation spot, with a 2-1 win in sets.

This was good news for the Sharks and Eltham Terrace Nuthouse who were both fearing relegation.

The Sharks had a battle against already demoted Falconwood Club but came through with sufficient points losing 2-1 in sets but gaining a bonus point by virtue of winning more frames 8-7.

Eltham Terrace Nuthouse must have been seriously concerned after their collapse away to the Bull Tavern 3-0 but with the Pickwick failing to take advantage they survived by virtue of more wins.

The other match in the Elite League saw the already crowned champions Hotshots overcome Foxy Meatballs 3-0, meaning the Meatballs finish third 6 points behind the Bull Tavern.

Tier 2 West.

Champions Rugrats went down to second place Crayford A, with the Rugrats only having 4 players on the night.

The Crayford A win secured their playoff place with this result.

Bellegrove A also suffered defeat going down 1-2 6-9 to Eltham Terrace Rack Pack Rovers.

The last 2 teams in the division produced the biggest score of the night, with Academicals winning 3-0 13-2 against Sea The Angles.

Tier 2 East.

Champions New Eltham New Stars had 3-0 9-6 win over Fox & Hounds.

The final playoff place will go down to the final week of matches.

Rose Inn shared the points with Just Bellegrove after a 1-2 9-6 result.

This gave Duke of Northumberland the chance to close the gap to within one point, winning their match 2-1 8-7 against Rugrats Guardians.

Tier 3.

The top two teams both had comfortable wins this week.

Champion’s New Eltham New Boys winning 0-3 5-10 away at Real Hustlers.

Greyhound also won 3-0 11-4 at home to Bexley Working Mens Club.

Royal Oak had no game.

Winter 2019-20 team registrations now being taken. Entry fee is just ÂŁ60 per team. New teams welcome.
